The Rays' architect is some sort of insane genius

The Tampa Bay Rays' proposed $450 stadium is the most awesomely aerodynamic sports facility of the future I've ever seen. In fact, I'm pretty sure they'd play blernsball in this thing, not baseball. It's too bitchin' for regular old baseball. I also suspect that the roof doesn't retract, but instead transforms into a giant robot that throws a wicked slider.

Looks like it could give Joe Morgan a heart attack.

What is that shit over the stadium? Is that canvas like the old Roman Coliseum? Does it cover the whole thing or only one side? How come the field is still sunny in the pic and no shade?

What's it supposed to be a spaceship? I don't get it. Are there other pics somewhere?
