Down goes Putz!

Fresh off the heels of my recent "never pay for saves" Fantasy Errata column describing Putz's newfound vulnerability, news around the horn is that J. J. Putz just went down with a "ribcage injury." Hmm. They're calling it an inflammation of the cartilage in the rib cage.

Mark Lowe is being snapped up left and right. He looks like a pretty crappy reliever, but a free closer is a free closer. Keep in mind he's had two arm surgeries in the last year and a half and his peripherals don't look too good.

I actually don't like Lowe very much, so I'm looking for other candidates. There isn't much out there, though. The Mariners apparently went into the year assuming Putz was going to throw 120+ innings in relief.
