Meshing nicely with the most recent "Buy Low/Sell High" article is this piece of advice: pick up Brian Fuentes if you have the roster room. He had 81 saves over the last three seasons, 401 Ks in 363.1 career innings, and a lifetime ERA below 3.50 with a career WHIP of 1.26. Sure, he's a lefty and the Rockies prefer him as a setup man, but if Manny Corpas continues to underwhelm he may get another shot pretty soon. It's not as though he's likely to hurt you in middle relief for the time being.

Jeff Keppinger is 3B/SS eligible and on fire. I've picked him up in a few leagues, and you should consider it, too. He is batting second for the Cincinnati Reds.

Jose Lopez won't steal many bases or hit many home runs, but he is a source of steady run/rbi and batting average production at a position notoriously bereft of all three (second base). If you were counting on Wigginton or Kelly Johnson to hold down the fort, take a look.

Randy Wolf can look good ... when healthy. Well, he appears healthy. He should be owned in all NL-only formats, and at the very least, spot-started in San Diego.

Akinori Iwamura is now 2B eligible, and battling lead-off for the Tampa Bay Rays. He is officially "ownable" at this point.

The real Jon Garland finally stood up. If for some reason you had him, drop him.

Yuniesky Betancourt a few weeks ago looked like a mini-sleeper. Then the Mariners decided that they were, after all, going to bat him ninth rather than second. Well, that's just too much of an at-bats for him to be ownable in mixed formats.

Casey Blake's a pretty middling player, but he does have eligibility at three positions. Which is worthless if he's struggling and getting benched. He is way on the wrong side of 30, and you need to give him a pretty short rope. As other players gain eligibility, cut bait if one of them looks palatable.

Did you pick up Jason Kendall? Drop him.

If you were thinking of stashing Mark Lowe and trading him, then drop him. Nobody's going to give you anything worthwhile for that guy. If you picked him up because you need saves and intended to play him, good luck with that.

Kerry Wood looks pretty good after a shaky beginning, and Bob Howry is stinking up the joint. If you took the Howry side of the Wood/Marmol/Howry menage a trois, time to cut bait. Go get Fuentes instead.
