Collective intelligence of MLB players: higher than I thought

How discerning of them to name Derek Jeter as the most overrated baseball player.

Barry Zito was edged out, getting 9% to Jeter's 10%. Other names on the list include Youkilis, J.D. Drew, Alex Rodriguez (???), and David Wright. My disdain for Jeter is well documented, most notably in this article and our Shortstop Draft Guide. He plays terrible defense (judged by many as the worst starting shortstop, defensively, over the last decade), and his offensive contributions, while good, do not justify a $20+ million salary. Probably his most impressive 5x5 stat, runs, are a result of the team he plays for.

As for Zito ... is he still "rated?" Does anyone, anywhere, think he doesn't suck? Unfortunately "Every Closer" was not an option in the survey.
