Fantasy Errata

-- C.J. Wilson has mechanical issues, now an undisclosed injury, now a vote of confidence ... but Eddie Guardado was warming up for a save a few days ago and came into a tied game in the ninth inning yesterday. I've already dropped C.J. for Guardado.

-- Gio Gonzalez was (finally) called up. In deep leagues, go grab him and see what happens.

-- Rivera's back is supposedly okay, but who knows. Billy Wagner is definitely not okay, but Duaner Sanchez is likely already owned.

-- Willie Bloomquist is looking like a useful little multi-position eligible scrub.

-- I cut bait with Manny Parra after his latest outing. Could be tired. Maybe he's losing his effectiveness with multiple times around the league. Who knows.

-- Sure, the Manny Ramirez trade looks great right now (particularly since Andy LaRoche appears to have reinjured the thumb that sidelined him for much of early 2008), but the Dodgers gave away an excellent prospect and a second, above-average prospect for two months of Manny Ramirez. Does Manny put them the front-runner to win the NL West? I say no, simply because the Dodgers offensive woes run too deep for anyone player to fix.

-- Nick Swisher and Adam Dunn are a combination I shall never repeat on any team I own. One player like that is manageable. Two, you've got a serious batting average/stolen base problem in your outfield.

-- Garrett Atkins should be red hot by now, but instead he's turning in a woeful second half thus far.

-- I think it's been well over a month since Lance Berkman hit a home run. I told you to sell high on Big Puma. Heck, maybe you still could.

What about Kunz and/or Heilman as the closer for the Metropolitans?

Rotoworld has Manuel indicating Heilman will be the favorite for closing situations. Personally, I think the longer Wagner is out, the better chance Kunz ends up closing.

Also, probably time to swap out John Baker for Willie HArris.
